Why Vote Yes?

  • Enhancements to safety and security infrastructure will be implemented across all schools, encompassing measures such as reinforcing entrances and exits, installing 3M window film, enhancing communication infrastructure for improved interaction with schools and first responders, procuring extra weapons detection units, and addressing any other specific safety requirements unique to each school.

  • Smaller Class Sizes: Current Overcrowding impacts student achievement.

  • Enrollment Projections: 700-1000 more annually for 10 years

  • Deteriorating school facilities demand urgent attention.

  • Continued growth in housing developments requires expanded infrastructure.

How We'll Address It:

  • Financing without raising taxes: Utilize existing debt capacity for construction needs today.

  • Brick and mortar additions to current facilities & new school facilities construction to address safety issues & class size issues

  • Multiple refundings of current bonds to lower interest rates, allowing early payment, which leaves capacity for new bond issuances without tax rate increases.

Capital Projects Overview:

  • Elementary Schools: Renovations, additions, and new construction to address capacity and safety concerns.

  • Middle Schools: Upgrades, renovations, and new facilities to enhance learning environments.

  • High Schools: Additions, renovations, and safety upgrades to support growing student populations.
